PUBG partnered with NewJeans to create a groundbreaking gaming collaboration, seamlessly integrating new in-game skins and items into the player experience. By featuring the members as non-player characters (NPCs) in dynamic films, we showcased the collaboration within an authentic gaming narrative. To elevate engagement, we launched a social dance challenge that creatively incorporated in-game items into choreographed moves, inviting players to join the fun. Additionally, other communications like gameplays were executed to further enhance player interaction and excitement. This strategy not only enriched the gaming experience but also cultivated a lively community around the collaboration, leaving players battle-ready with NewJeans.
To emphasize the collaboration between PUBG and the unique K-pop artist NewJeans, we approached the concept of “NewJeans in PUBG World.” We showcased NewJeans as NPCs within the actual PUBG game, highlighting them wearing collaboration items.
While it was challenging to capture the adorable essence of NewJeans in the video, we combined their still poses as NPCs with their genuine charming appearances, effectively emphasizing “NewJeans in PUBG World” in one cohesive video.
To highlight this collaboration, we created a social media challenge featuring NewJeans. A simple choreography was developed using collaboration items to emphasize them, and specific items were assigned to each member to match their unique personalities with corresponding dance moves.
This project was a joy to prepare, filled with passion as a fan. The collaboration between my favorite NewJeans and PUBG, a game I once enjoyed playing, made the project a truly fun experience!
